For more than 30 years Alan Sparhawk’s primary artistic outlet was the band Low, with his spouse Mimi Parker. Parker died in 2022, effectively ending Low as an active project. “White Roses, My God” is Sparhawk’s second solo album, and goes even further into electronic sounds than Low’s last few records.

All six members of Umphrey’s McGee joined Sound Opinions listeners and hosts Jim and Greg for a live event in Chicago. The group performs three songs and talks about how they have made it work for more than 25 years.
